What this is

Eye of the Abyss is an original psychological-mystery ARG puzzle game. You are the psychologist Lin Mo: a patient sends a plea for help, and folded inside the envelope is your own mother’s 2003 duty roster. You return to the Hechuan Sanatorium to find out what that fire really destroyed, between nineteen cassette tapes, air-sampling reports and an investigation page that was pulled out.

How it plays

• A free-roaming “fictional internet” — a sanatorium portal, a survivors’ forum, private blogs, surveillance files: more than twenty sites.
• Interactive puzzles such as developing hidden marks with a torch and decoding Morse code.
• Chapter atmospheres that change as the story moves, and multiple endings.
• Progress is saved in your own browser, so you can continue the investigation at any time.
